John Paul has been tuning and repairing pianos professionally since 1973. From 1969 to 1973, he did his apprenticeship with Francis Mahaffey; who, at that time was President of the Piano Tuners Guild International. Since that time, John Paul has serviced pianos for most of the piano outlets (including Colton Piano & Organ until they closed). His experience includes tunings for large auditoriums, special events, churches, recording studios and private homes. John Paul and his wife Jenny work together as a team and travel all over Southern California, parts of Arizona and even Mexico. Occasionally you might see them traveling in their RV up and down the coast so they can spend more time completing the demands of the business without having to return home at the end of each day. Once a year they spend a month in mainland China servicing pianos and observing the growth of piano production in China. Jackson's Piano Service has a goal to provide the most complete detail service to pianos to protect them from environmental exposures resulting in rusty strings and swollen key bed and actions.
